NBR HOME CARE
Everything you need to know after you leave the salon

NBR® Extension Home Care
Keep your Natural Beaded Rows® looking flawless with these simple, stylist-approved tips. With the right routine and a little TLC, your hand-tied extensions will stay soft, smooth, and stunning.

Washing
– Brush before you shower. Use a Wet Brush to gently detangle your hair and extensions before getting in the shower. This helps prevent matting and deep tangles.
– Use sulfate-free shampoo + conditioner. Gently shampoo between rows—no need to scrub hard.
– Always follow with leave-in + oil. Right after your shower or before brushing, apply something like Unite 7 Seconds Detangler + U-Oil for softness and slip.
– Brush from ends to root. Hold your hair in a low ponytail with one hand and brush downward starting at the ends.

Styling
– Rough dry first. Use your hands to dry your hair about 80% before using any brush. (This applies at blowout bars too—ask your stylist not to use a round brush from start to finish.)
– Finish with a round brush. You can smooth everything out at the very end with light tension.
– For curls, smooth first. Run the extension hair through your iron once or twice before curling to seal the cuticle and add polish.
– Use a heat protectant. I recommend Unite 7 Seconds Glossing Spray for shine and protection.

Sleeping
– Brush + braid. Detangle and loosely braid or tie your hair before bed.
– Never sleep on wet hair. This can lead to tangling and matting—always dry completely before bed.

Other Good-To-Knows
– Extension hair expands slightly after the first few washes—this is normal and makes it look more natural.
– Avoid regular sunscreen on your hair. It can turn lighter extensions peachy. Stick to mineral sunscreen only.
– Notice shedding, tangles, or a loose bead? Text me right away—these are easy fixes when caught early.
– You can live a full, active life with NBR®—just treat your hair with care, and it will treat you right back.
